Tracy Shayne will return to Chicago as merry murderess Roxie Hart beginning April 28 at the Ambassador Theatre. Shayne takes over the role from Christie
Brinkley, who will play her final performance on April 27.
Shayne has appeared on Broadway as Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera and Fantine in Les Miserables. Her other theatrical credits include A Chorus Line, West Side Story and Missing Footage. She first played Roxie in 2003 and has returned to the production many times; her last stint in the show ended in 2007.
The Tony-winning revival currently stars Tony Yazbeck as Billy Flynn, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Carol Woods as Matron “Mama” Morton and Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart.
